ABOUT LA COURONNE
Renovated by us, Roy (a professional builder in the UK) and Melissa, now an amateur watercolourist, in 1996 La Couronne was a seasonal holiday rental from 1997 until 2010. In 2019 we renewed the main roof and added another over the patio area to create shade. A substantial amount of work was done to the patio and pool area as well as interior work to update the whole property.
There are no neighbours overlooking the property and we own the surrounding grassland and oak wood where wild flowers can be seen in the fields through the early months of the year and deer, hare and numerous birds and insects throughout the summer. Wonderful views towards Monflanquin and beyond can be enjoyed within a few minutes walk of the property in this peaceful rural area.
La Couronne has been renovated and cared for with couples and whole families in mind who can then relax in the knowledge that those who need a little extra special care and attention can also enjoy the benefits that this wonderful property has to offer.
The accommodation is on one level with the exception of the small study mezzanine and quiet play room. Support rails are installed in the en-suite shower and bathroom. Access via the front door is at road level for accessibility or through the kitchen door. The only external steps from the property lead down to the car park from the utility room.
The 11.5m x 5m swimming pool is fenced with a self closing security gate. There is a covered outside shower and toilet next to a built in barbeque.
We are in the neighbouring bungalow sympathetically designed and built by us which is completely separate with its own access and a high portugese laurel boundary hedge to retain privacy.

Great chill out zone. Wonderful house, couldn't fault anything, perfect for recharging your batteries. The pool proved invaluable for cooling down. any reservations we had about disabled access have been dispelled!
