Tissendier is situated 5km from the bastide of Monflanquin.  All the properties in Tissendier  are recently renovated ruins and our friendly neighbours are French, Belgium and Portugese.

The surrounding countryside is of grass and arable fields, oak woodland and gentle rolling  hills  which eventually  lead down to the Lot valley with its flat topped hills which are hard to describe but make a very interesting landscape with Pujols, Penne d'Agenais and Tournon d'Agenais perched near the top of some of them.

Monflanquin and Villereal, within 5 and 10 mins drive respectively, are two of the most beautiful villages (https://www.les-plus-beaux-villages-de-france.org/fr/) of France with many restaurants, markets, seasonal activities and entertainment.  Cormmercially there are also supermarkets, banks and shops. The nearest large town is Villeneuve sur Lot.

Bergerac with its airport and train station is only 45 mins drive.

 

The nearest cities with major airports and train stations are Bordeaux and Toulouse with main line  trains stopping at Marmande and Agen and Bergerac.

The northern ferry ports are 9 to 12 hours drive.
